Clare College has had the pleasure of hosting many different events within 2022, two examples of which are conferences we won through the free venue finding service Meet Cambridge, who have since provided exceptional feedback on their time with us.
In August this year, Clare College hosted the 35th International Congress of Genealogical & Heraldic Sciences, a four day residential conference for 150 delegates. The conference usually ran biennially, but after being postponed due to COVID, ran at Clare for the first time in a few years.
Dr Paul Fox, MA, FSA, FHS, FHG, AIH, Editor, of The Coat of Arms and Secretary General to the Congress said; “We had some really positive feedback from delegates including: “The Cambridge Congress was quite an achievement. The venues and the pageantry certainly helped, but I shall remember it first and foremost as the congress with a particularly high standard of papers overall” and “Brilliant organisation and very careful planning were behind it. In addition, the city of Cambridge is a special experience.”

Clare College also had the pleasure of hosting the British Veterinary Association's Members' Day in September 2022, which was equally as successful. This was a full day conference for 120 guests that also included an award ceremony at the end of the day in our Riley Auditorium.
Harriet Innes, Events Manager at BVA provided fantastic feedback after the event; “The Riley Auditorium was perfect and we also had the Garden Room for refreshments – but on the day it was so sunny we were able to take our lunch outside onto the terrace. The team at Clare was fantastic, both in advance of the event and on the day itself. I would definitely hold future events there in the future, should the occasion arise.”
