Although I work close to Clare, staying in college and walking to breakfast across the river was beautiful (one of the reasons why I wanted this reunion held at Clare, as the gardens are so lovely, especially in spring). I must say what a lovely evening was had by all. The Garden Room looked very elegant, extremely pretty and very welcoming; with its huge Christmas tree. Everyone had a lovely time. The catering for the formal dinner in the Hall was excellent and of a fine dining standard. The cost of this meal was extremely good value. In addition, the bowl food for the working lunches was varied and tasty, and bowl serving worked well as it allowed delegates to move around at lunch and socialise.
