Whilst the Christmas party is a highlight in everyone’s social calendar, it can be a tricky event to plan successfully (and without stress!)
Our conference team has three fast tips to help you plan the perfect Christmas party:
Dates for Christmas events go quickly; particularly if you are looking for an evening at a popular venue. Make sure you get organised and enquire as early as possible to avoid disappointment!
It is also important to pick a date that works with your organisation’s calendar and appeals to the majority of your invitees. If you regularly organise the Christmas party it is a good idea to host the event on a similar date each year so your guests know what to expect – for example, on the first Saturday of December.
Once you have a date in mind the next thing on your list should be to source a venue. If you are looking for something unique and extra special for Christmas a Cambridge College might work perfectly. At Clare College we have both our Small Hall and Great Hall which can work for small or large groups and are both dining rooms are located in the stunning setting of 17th century Old Court.
Once the date and venue are secured it is time to get down to the details and think about your entertainment. From thinking of a festive theme to running a Christmas quiz; an after dinner bar with dancing to a photo booth with props – there are lots of ideas to make your event fun! Meet Cambridge has a list of local entertainment, music and speaker providers on their website which you can discover here.
